Leave No Trace

Leave No Trace is working to save nature through science, education, and stewardship. As art director, I helped reimagine their brand identity to be as relevant in Central Park as the backcountry — because no matter where or why we get outside, nature is all of ours to protect. The new brand essence, It’s Your Nature, brings forward an evolved logo, bright color palette, and inclusive illustrations and silhouettes that invite people to see nature’s potential through others’ eyes.

Logo Evolution

The evolved logo retained equity from the previous mark's icon while deepening its meaning by removing its bounding box and allusion to an eye: conservation is an ever-evolving journey, rooted in a cyclical give-and-take between people and environment. The refined icon evokes a fingerprint, linking Leave No Trace's mission to personal stewardship, while the accompanying wordmark brings a new sense of urgency.
